Presented at the PHUSE US Connect Conference (March 25, 5:30–7:00 PM), Pharmacokinetic Noncompartmental Analysis (PK NCA) Using R: An Efficient Cost-Effective Alternative to Industry Standard Software, presented by Jennifer Menda, Statistical Programmer – PK Analyst and Haley Evans, Biostatistician, demonstrates how R can be used to perform pharmacokinetic noncompartmental analysis (NCA) in a more flexible and efficient way, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional software while supporting a more streamlined workflow.
By combining an open-source R framework with integrated workflows and reproducible processes, this approach:
- Uses an open-source R-based approach to reduce reliance on costly proprietary software
- Enables a unified workflow for data preparation, analysis, and reporting in one environment
- Produces results comparable to standard industry tools across multiple study types
- Supports reproducibility and collaboration through transparent, version-controlled processes
- Improves efficiency by minimizing manual effort, software switching, and potential for errors
