Serge has been CCO at IDDI since 2019. With an engineering background in telecommunications, Serge has been serving the Belgian army for 20 years as a helicopter pilot. He entered the clinical research arena in 2000 as a pioneer in electronic patient reported outcome (ePRO/eCOA). In 2000, he co-founded Symfo, a Belgian company that pioneered the electronic collection of patient reported outcomes (PRO). After he sold his business in 2012, he acted as the global electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA) subject matter expert at Biomedical Systems and led the company’s sales and marketing efforts. He later joined Bracket — a clinical trial technology and specialty services provider as a senior advisor for Outcomes Science with a worldwide sales, marketing, and account management focus. Serge is based in Montreal, Canada, and holds a master’s of science in telecommunications from the Polytechnic Division of the Royal Military Academy in Brussels, Belgium.
