The goal of this talk is to list the challenges for a efficient collaboration between a functional CRO and the sponsor. Challenges were addressed with suggestions on how to achieve the primary goal of gaining in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

This webinar focused on efficient collaboration between a CRO and the Sponsor.

  • Increased regulation, global competition and the large number of expiring patents are pressing sponsors, large pharma companies as well as small biotechs, to find ways to optimize the conduct and the costs of clinical trials without sacrificing efficiency.
    Outsourcing is one of the strategies largely used to achieve these goals. Although widely spread throughout the industry, outsourcing strategies are not always successful. Why?
    In addition, authorities’ guidance on ultimate responsibility for quality and integrity of clinical trial data associated with the outsourced activities must be carefully addressed.
  • The goal of this talk is to list the challenges for a successful collaboration between the sponsor and a functional CRO. Challenges will be addressed with suggestions on how to achieve the primary goal of gaining in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Pierre Mayeur, Director eClinical services at IDDI.
    Pierre Mayeur holds an MSc in Business Engineering & Management and has 14 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  Having started his career at UCB Pharma he is currently Director of eClinical Services at IDDI. (International Drug Development Institute. Throughout his career, he embraced various responsibilities in Clinical SAS programming, data management, stat programming and management of vendors, from both Sponsor and CRO perspective.
